Recombinant Human Nucleoside Diphosphate Kinase A Ala2-Glu152
Synonimy: NDK A, NDP kinase A, Granzyme A-activated DNase (GAAD), Metastasis inhibition factor nm23, NM23-H1, Tumor metastatic process-associated protein
Recombinant Human Nucleoside Diphosphate Kinase A (NDKA) is a key enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of terminal phosphates from nucleoside triphosphates to nucleoside diphosphates. This 17.1 kDa protein belongs to the NDK family and plays a major role in the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphates other than ATP. NDKA possesses multiple enzymatic activities including nucleoside-diphosphate kinase, serine/threonine-specific protein kinase, and 3'-5' exonuclease activities. It is involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, development, signal transduction, and gene expression. NDKA is required for neural development and has been implicated in tumor progression, with reduced levels observed in some high metastatic potential tumors, while increased levels correlate with aggressive neuroblastoma features.
