Anti-CD80 Antibody
Synonimy: T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD80, Activation B7-1 antigen, BB1
This antibody targets CD80, also known as B7-1. Similar to CD86, CD80 is a transmembrane costimulatory molecule expressed on professional APCs. It binds to CD28 on T cells, providing a critical costimulatory signal for T cell activation, and also binds the inhibitory receptor CTLA-4. CD80 and CD86 often have overlapping but sometimes distinct roles and expression kinetics in regulating T cell responses.
Validated for immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry applications, this antibody allows for the investigation of T cell costimulation, APC maturation and function, immune checkpoint regulation, and therapeutic strategies targeting the B7-CD28/CTLA-4 pathways.
