This antibody targets Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2), also known as Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1). CCL2 is a potent chemokine that plays a critical role in inflammation by recruiting monocytes, memory T cells, and dendritic cells to sites of tissue injury or infection. It exerts its effects by binding to the CCR2 chemokine receptor. Chronic CCL2 expression is implicated in the pathogenesis of numerous inflammatory diseases, including atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer.
Optimized for use in immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry, this antibody enables the study of monocyte recruitment, inflammation, and immune responses. It is a key tool for investigating the tumor microenvironment and the pathogenesis of chronic inflammatory conditions.
