Recombinant Human CRIPT Val2-Val101

Synonyms: Cysteine-rich interactor of PDZ three, Cysteine-rich interactor of PDZ3, HSPC139

Cysteine-rich PDZ-binding protein (CRIPT) is a component of the minor spliceosome involved in splicing U12-type introns in pre-mRNAs. It plays a role in cytoskeletal anchoring of DLG4 in excitatory synapses. CRIPT interacts with TUBB1 and associates with microtubules. It binds strongly to the PDZ3 domain of DLG4 family members. CRIPT is found in the cytoplasm, synapse, and dendritic spines. It is implicated in short stature with microcephaly and distinctive facies (SSMCF), a disorder characterized by dwarfism and facial dysmorphism. This recombinant protein can be used for studying CRIPT's functions in splicing and synaptic organization.
