Recombinant Human CCL2/MCP-1 Gln24-Thr99

Synonyms: HC11 Monocyte chemoattractant protein 1; Monocyte chemotactic and activating factor (MCAF); Monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1); Monocyte secretory protein JE; Small-inducible cytokine A2

CCL2, also known as monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1), is a member of the CC chemokine family. It is a potent chemoattractant for monocytes, memory T cells, and basophils. CCL2 is produced by various cell types including fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and monocytes in response to inflammatory stimuli. It signals through the CCR2 receptor to induce monocyte migration and infiltration. CCL2 plays important roles in inflammatory diseases, atherosclerosis, and cancer progression. This recombinant human CCL2 protein can be used to study monocyte chemotaxis and inflammatory processes in vitro.
