Recombinant Human C-C motif chemokine 3 Ser24-Ala92
Synonyms: Macrophage inflammatory protein 1-alpha (MIP-1-alpha), G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 19-1, PAT 464.1, SIS-beta, Small-inducible cytokine A3, Tonsillar lymphocyte LD78 alpha protein
Recombinant Human C-C motif chemokine 3 (CCL3) is a potent inflammatory cytokine belonging to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. This 69-amino acid protein functions as a monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties, binding to CCR1, CCR4, and CCR5 receptors. CCL3, also known as Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 1-alpha (MIP-1-alpha), is one of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells, with dose-dependent inhibition of different strains of HIV-1, HIV-2, and SIV. The protein is secreted and plays crucial roles in chemotaxis, inflammatory responses, and calcium-mediated signaling. It is predominantly expressed in bone marrow, lung, and lymphoid tissues, making it a valuable target for immunological and viral research applications.
