Recombinant Human AIF1 Ser2-Pro147
Synonyms: Ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1, Protein G1
The Allograft Inflammatory Factor 1 (AIF1), also known as Ionized Calcium Binding Adapter Molecule 1 (IBA1), is a critical actin-binding protein involved in macrophage activation and function, as well as the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and T-lymphocytes. This 17 kDa protein plays essential roles in calcium signaling and RAC activation, enhancing actin bundling activities and promoting lymphocyte migration. Increased expression of AIF1 is observed during inflammatory responses and has been linked to various diseases, including breast cancer and atherosclerosis. Its relevance in laboratory studies makes it an invaluable tool for researchers focusing on inflammation and cellular signaling mechanisms.
