Recombinant Human Adiponectin Gly15-Asn244

Synonyms: ACRP30, Apm1, GBP28, ADIPQTL1

Adiponectin, also known as Acrp30, is an important adipokine secreted exclusively by adipocytes. It plays a major role in regulating insulin sensitivity, glucose and lipid metabolism, and energy homeostasis. Adiponectin has anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anti-atherogenic properties. Low plasma levels are associated with obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. It acts through two main receptors, AdipoR1 and AdipoR2. Adiponectin influences reproduction by affecting gonadotropin release and pregnancy outcomes. It also has potential roles in chronic liver and kidney diseases, and may impact certain cancers through adiponectin receptor signaling pathways.
