Urease Activity Assay Kit

This colorimetric assay utilizes the Berthelot method to detect ammonia produced by urease-catalyzed hydrolysis of urea. The resulting colored product is measured at 670 nm, with the intensity proportional to urease activity in the sample. One unit of urease is defined as the amount of enzyme that catalyzes the formation of 1.0 μmole of ammonia per minute at pH 7.0.
