Carbonic Anhydrase Activity Assay Kit

Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) activity assay relies the hydrolysis of substrate to produce p-nitrophenol and acetate. The reaction is monitored by measuring the increase in absorbance of p-nitrophenol at 405 nm. One unit of carbonic anhydrase is the amount of enzyme required to convert 1.0 μmole of carbon dioxide (CO₂) to bicarbonate (HCO₃⁻) (or the reverse reaction) per minute at 25°C.
