Anti-TAGLN
Synonyms: SM22, WS3-10
This antibody targets Transgelin (TAGLN), also known as SM22-alpha. Transgelin is an actin-binding protein predominantly expressed in smooth muscle cells, where it plays a key role in cytoskeletal organization and contractile function. It is involved in actin filament stabilization and contributes to cell shape, motility, and mechanical integrity. Transgelin expression is also modulated during cellular differentiation, tissue remodeling, and in pathological states such as tumor progression or fibrosis.
This antibody has been validated for immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry applications, enabling exploration of cytoskeletal dynamics, smooth muscle cell biology, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), tissue remodeling, and cancer cell invasiveness.
