Anti-SHH Antibody

This antibody specifically targets Sonic Hedgehog (SHH), a morphogen essential for various developmental patterning events. SHH functions through binding to the patched (PTCH1) receptor, activating a signaling cascade critical for neural tube development, limb patterning, and cell differentiation. The protein undergoes autoproteolysis and cholesterol modification, yielding an active N-terminal fragment (ShhN) that mediates both local and long-range signaling.
