Anti-IKB alpha Antibody

This antibody specifically targets NF-kappa-B inhibitor alpha (NFKBIA), a key regulatory protein that inhibits NF-kappa-B transcription factor activity by sequestering REL dimers in the cytoplasm through masking of their nuclear localization signals. Upon cellular stimulation by immune and pro-inflammatory responses, NFKBIA becomes phosphorylated at Ser32/Ser36, leading to its ubiquitination and degradation, which enables translocation of NF-kappa-B to the nucleus where it activates gene transcription.

This antibody has been validated for immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry applications, making it a versatile tool for studying NF-kappa-B signaling pathways in research settings.
