Anti-CD1c Antibody

This antibody targets CD1c (Cluster of Differentiation 1c), also known as BDCA-1, a member of the CD1 family of MHC class I–like glycoproteins involved in lipid antigen presentation. CD1c is predominantly expressed on conventional dendritic cells type 2 (cDC2) and certain monocyte-derived cells, where it facilitates the presentation of microbial and self-lipid antigens to T cells, contributing to both innate and adaptive immune responses.CD1c plays a key role in antigen surveillance, immune modulation, and the activation of lipid-reactive T cells. It serves as a specific marker for cDC2 in blood and lymphoid tissues, and its expression is used to distinguish dendritic cell subsets in immunological studies and clinical diagnostics.This antibody has been validated for flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry, enabling reliable identification and characterization of CD1c⁺ antigen-presenting cells in blood, tissues, and cell culture. It is particularly useful in studies of dendritic cell biology, lipid antigen presentation, and immune system development or dysregulation, including infection, autoimmunity, and cancer immunology.
