Anti-CATF Antibody
Synonyms: -
Cathepsin F (CTSF) is a lysosomal cysteine protease belonging to the papain family that participates in intracellular protein degradation and turnover. This thiol protease has been implicated in tumor invasion and metastasis and plays a role in antigen processing and presentation via MHC class II. Mutations in the CTSF gene are associated with neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis type 13 (CLN13), an autosomal recessive neurodegenerative disorder.
This antibody has been validated for use in immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry applications. The antibody recognizes human Cathepsin F, which contains a unique 251-amino acid proregion with a cystatin-like fold not found in other papain family proteases.
