Anti-Beta Galactosidase Antibody

This antibody specifically targets human beta-galactosidase (GLB1), a lysosomal enzyme that hydrolyzes terminal beta-galactose residues from gangliosides, glycoproteins, and glycosaminoglycans. GLB1 functions optimally at pH 4.5-5.5 and plays a crucial role in glycosphingolipid catabolism. Mutations in the GLB1 gene are associated with GM1-gangliosidosis and Morquio B syndrome (MPS4B).

This antibody has been validated for immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry applications. It can be used to detect GLB1 in human samples, providing a valuable tool for studying lysosomal storage disorders and glycoconjugate metabolism.
