Anti-BAX Antibody

This antibody specifically targets BAX (Bcl-2-associated X protein), a 21 kDa pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 protein family that plays a critical role in the mitochondrial apoptotic process. Under normal conditions, BAX is predominantly cytosolic, but upon apoptotic stimuli, it undergoes conformational changes, translocates to the mitochondrial outer membrane, and promotes cytochrome c release, triggering downstream caspase activation and cell death.
