Anti-Angiogenin Antibody

This antibody targets Angiogenin (ANG), a secreted ribonuclease belonging to the RNase A superfamily. Despite its name, Angiogenin's primary role is not limited to angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), a process it does induce. It also exhibits tRNA-specific ribonuclease activity, generating tiRNAs (tRNA-derived, stress-induced RNAs) that modulate protein synthesis and promote cell survival under stress conditions.

Its validation for immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry makes it an ideal tool for studying angiogenesis, cellular stress responses, and tRNA biology. Researchers use it to investigate tumor growth, neuroprotection, and mechanisms of stress-induced translational control.
