Anti-AHR Antibody
Synonyms: Class E basic helix-loop-helix protein 76 (bHLHe76)
This antibody targets the Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AHR), a ligand-activated transcription factor belonging to the bHLH-PAS family. AHR is known for mediating the toxic effects of environmental pollutants like dioxins. Upon ligand binding, AHR translocates to the nucleus, dimerizes with ARNT, and activates the expression of target genes, including detoxification enzymes like CYP1A1. It also plays important roles in development, immune regulation, and stem cell function, responding to a range of endogenous and dietary ligands.
This reagent enables investigation via immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry into xenobiotic metabolism, environmental toxicology, and immune modulation. It allows researchers to study AHR activation, nuclear translocation, and its complex roles in physiology and pathology.
